I see countless shit of people saying things like: “Oh, I don’t care if you’re asian.” “Oh, I don’t care if you’re black” “Oh, I don’t care if you’re atheist.” and it would all lead to this next line: “You follow me and I love you.”

I understand the “thought” of being all for equality and such, and I see your intention of showing how much you appreciate your followers, but hey, do you really really really have create a god-damn huge-ass post for that? Do you really have to? Are you doing this for the notes and shit? Are you trying to shove in our faces how anti-racist you are? You all go “spreading the love” but in turn you hate, you hate other people, regardless of gender or race. You go in a rage because of something and you don’t even consider the circumstances in which that event happened. And the talk about races. Oh really? You’re not racist? THEN WHY TALK ABOUT THEIR RACES? On my belief, saying that you don’t care what race/gender/sexual orientation they are already implies that you did take time to notice what they’re categorized into. You really don’t care? THEN DON’T FREAKING SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I mean, come on. You don’t get it? Here is an example:

“Someone follows you”

Oh, hi there follower! Oh follower, I see that you’re atheist. Oh follower, even though you’re atheist, i’ll still love you, my dear follower.

Number one, I hate the implied truth that you love that person because he/she follows you. Well, yes, there is the joy of having a follower, but loving them for the sole purpose of following you? I have come through hundreds of blogs and I am thankful that some of them actually take time to know their followers. People who actually make friends. Yes, I can say with confidence that they are not racist. Why? They do not talk about it. They do not TAKE NOTICE of it. They do not give it existence.

Number two, your followers have names. Yes, you might have a thousand followers but hey, surely you must know a handful? I believe Tumblr has the purpose of connecting people through their posts, that we are encouraged to exchange different views and therefore making us know a little bit more about each other, even just through our urls.

Appreciate, not just through posting that you do. Actually have the time to thank them with your own effort, as they have given theirs to show other people what they like about you. Read what they have to say too. You will always learn from other people.

I am disappointed as I see that following other BLOGS has become just a trend. I can always hope.
